Bill, who is from Detroit, MI, began his career as a successful air talent in Jackson, Grand Rapids, and Flint, MI, Louisville, KY and New Haven, Ct.
In l967, he became a highly thought of programmer director at radio stations in formats as diverse as CHR, Country, AOR, Classic Rock and Oldies. Some of those stations included stops at: WMAQ/WKQX in Chicago, The Big 8/CKLW in Detroit, WIFI in Philadelphia, WKLO in Lousiville, WNHC in New Haven and WNDE in Indianapolis as well as serving as National PD for Rahall Broadcasting.
Then in 1981, Bill founded Bill Hennes & Associates and he began consulting key radio stations and broadcast companies in large, medium and small markets in CHR, Country, Classic Rock and Oldies. Bill consulted stations owned by Federated Media, Beasley, Inkstad, Verstandig, and many more.
Because Bill, is a forward thinker, in 2000 he saw that the Internet was the coming technology, and he founded and launched the highly successful web site AllAboutCountry.com. This site became the leading web site for Country radio and music people to get their daily news and information at the speed of light. The site had over 35,000 members and was getting 2 million hits a month.
In 2005, he began 3 AllAboutCountry 24/7 Internet radio stations.. AllAboutCountry Hits, AllAboutCountry.Gold and AllAboutCountry/NewMusic. The AllAboutCountry Hits format soared to the top of the most listened to Internet stations on Live365.com. Achieving over 200,000 Total Listening hours per month.
Then In 2012, Bill launched BillHennesMedia.com! This is a firm that combines all of Bill's expertise all under one banner.
